  • Optional: Last name, work type, role, company details, personal goals, referrer (how you heard about The UXologist)
  • Payment Information: Managed by Stripe, which processes and stores payment details. The UXologist does not store payment information.
  • Analytics Data: Collected via Google Analytics to track website usage and improve services. We do not personally store this data.

2. Cookies and Tracking

  • Google Analytics is used to track website usage for optimisation purposes.
  • Memberstack is used to store account details, which utilises cookies for user authentication, session management, and remembering user preferences.
  • Users can opt out of tracking via an initial prompt when loading the website.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to:

  • Provide and manage user accounts.
  • Offer subscription-based content access (e.g., Casual and Pro plans determine access to gated content).
  • Process payments via Stripe.
  • Send transactional and service-related emails.
  • Improve our website and services through analytics.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing & International Transfers

  • We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We use third-party providers to process user data:
    • Stripe (payment processing)
    • MailerLite (email communication)
    • Memberstack (account management)
  • These providers may store or process data outside the UK but comply with UK GDPR standards, using mechanisms like Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions to ensure data protection.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • User data is retained as long as the account is active.
  • Users can delete their account and data from account settings.
  • Users may also request deletion via team@theuxologist.com.
  • Memberstack retains user data until we request its deletion.
  • Some anonymised data may be retained for research and service improvement purposes.

6. User Rights Under UK GDPR

Users have the right to:

  • Access their data (request a copy of personal information).
  • Correct their data (edit or update inaccuracies).
  • Request deletion (erase data from our system).
  • Restrict processing (limit how data is used).

  • Transactional and critical service emails (e.g., payment confirmations, security alerts) cannot be opted out of.

9. Automated Decision-Making

  • The UXologist uses automated decision-making to determine content access based on a user's subscription plan.
  • No profiling or personalisation based on behaviour currently exists.
